As any patient entering the portals of a Dental Clinic, I too was filled with the fear of the unknown, even at my age!

I had gone to  Acharya Dental after a desperate search for a doctor who would solve my problem. I called up my friend in Fiji ( a professor in a Dental college, there) and he found the solution: he gave me the Telephone number of Acharya Dental; and for this guidance, I shall always be thankful to him.
On my first visit to the clinic, I was a little apprehensive; but my fears were laid to rest- once I walked into Room no.7 and met Doctor Anjum, who welcomed me with a cheerful smile and a warm ‘Hello’!
Rest is history.
Her deft fingers took charge of my problem; During subsequent appointments- I went through, I experienced different aspects of’ masonry’,’ metallurgy’, and what have you! I thank God for those terrifying injections- the fine needles that hurt but also helped to keep the pain away. I was able to go through the ‘process’, without pain! However, I did go through the fear of pain; Sensing this, Dr.Anjum would calm me down with her soothing voice saying: “it’s all over.., what happened?.., I am going to do an X-ray now…. “; and that relaxed me! My mind went from the fear of surgery to something else altogether–actually a great sense of relief!
The reason I mention all this is, her hands never stopped doing their work, even while she kept her patient comfortable. Her confidence of being in control of her patient as well as the situation at hand stems from the depth of knowledge she has imbibed, skills and the experience she had gained in her profession– one can easily see that.
She had explained on Day-1 what her medical management plans were for solving my problem and that helped me because I became aware that I was in safe hands: A patient’s comfort level… THAT.. I feel, is important.
The first impression created was by the Front office, who answered the phone in a very polite manner. I couldn’t help but notice the good language skills they possessed! Professionalism showed through, in the senior ladies in administration.. The Nursing staff and the in-house Technicians know their work and their contribution, I feel, adds on to the overall efficiency of the system.
I must mention the ambiance of the place–the cleanliness; I was pleasantly surprised by seeing paintings on the wall,  some of them by well-known Artists as I walked around -to Room no.7 or went up for an X-ray or went down the corridor. Let me not miss out on the visually delightful little ‘gardens’ a treat to the patients settling down on the formidable Dental Chair!
Through her dedication, leadership duly supported by the well-chosen team of Doctors, Dr.Vijayalakshmi Acharya has seen her dream come true!
I consider myself fortunate to have been a patient of Dr.Anjum- not only was I treated by an amazing doctor- but in the process -got myself a good friend too!
Thank you, Doctor Anjum.
My best wishes to all  and May Acharya  Dental grow from strength to strength
