Smile Makeovers
When teeth are malpositioned, discolored or damaged – a smile makeover is exactly what’s needed to brighten up that smile. This is done using crowns and/or veneers. The decision of whether a crown or veneer is used primarily depends on the amount of remaining natural tooth structure.
Veneers are thin ceramic shells bonded on to the surfaces of minimally prepared teeth. Veneers can correct or camouflage severe discoloration, chipped teeth, gaps between teeth and malpositioned teeth. Two or three visits are all it takes for a complete Smile Makeover. You will also be evaluate the final result before the start of veneer treatment with a mock up smile makeover. Veneers can only be done when there is adequate natural tooth structure remaining for cementation of the veneers
Smile makeovers are also done with crowns, which are ceramic shells that cover the entire tooth. The examples below show you both veneers and crowns – but don’t stress – the decision of whether a crown or veneer is used for you will be decided after a detailed clinical examination and treatment planning session.
