Dr Vijailakshmi Acharya obtained the degree as Bachelor of Dental Surgery from the University of Mumbai. She obtained a Master’s degree in Endodontics and Conservative Dentistry from Madras University.

She has trained extensively in Implantology in from Sweden and Japan and one of the first to be trained from India with nearly 30 years of experience. She is also trained in Cosmetic Dentistry both nationally and abroad.

She has lectured extensively on Practice Management, Esthetic Dentistry, Lasers and Infection Control. She also speaks to the public on Dental Health. Dr Acharya runs a state of the art Multi Specialty clinic in Chennai, India. Continuing Education programs are also conducted at the clinic for professionals.

She is a member of the Indian Dental Association, the American Dental Association, the Pierre Fauchard Academy and an Associate Fellow of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry.
