A denture is a set of artificial teeth set into acrylic or metal frameworks that rest directly on the gums and/or remaining teeth. Partial dentures are used for people with several teeth missing and whose teeth aren’t strong enough to support a bridge. Complete dentures are used for those who have lost all of their upper or lower teeth. Three to five visits are required to obtain impressions and fit the dentures properly.
