Guard Your Mouth

While playing any type of contact sport (boxing, rugby, football, hockey, basketball), it’s a great idea to wear a mouth guard to protect your teeth from accidental damage. A mouth guard is a flexible plastic covering for your teeth that absorbs a good amount of the forces the teeth are subjected to in the event of an injury to the face. These can be fabricated easily in a single visit at Acharya Dental, so request an appointment with us to make a mouth guard for yourself or your children.

Pearly Whites

Your teeth should not be used for anything other than chewing food, as doing so can damage them permanently. Never use your teeth to open bottles, rip open packaging or anything else they’re not designed for. If a tooth fractures, depending on the level of the fracture, they may need a filling or a crown and sometimes even a root canal to repair the tooth. In extreme cases, a fractured tooth will need to be extracted and replaced with an implant, bridge or denture. Take care of your pearly whites!

However, with the magic of restorative dentistry, we were able to get her smile back to just the way it was with a simple crown. She is happy and planning to make more appointments now to replace the old discolored fillings in her mouth as well. Spreading Smiles

Justin* walked into Acharya Dental with a question. Why, he asked, does my smile does not look right? He had been to a dentist recently who gave him a composite bonded filling, but he was still not happy.
After doing a Smile Analysis we found that Justin had ended up with a smile curve that was in reverse, i.e the 2 central incisors were shorter than the lateral incisors. The colour of his bonded teeth were also mismatched .
We went to work and gave Justin a very pleasing smile with his teeth in a golden proportion where the central incisors were longer and in line with his canines. Ceramic veneers were placed to give him self confidence. Now, Justin has a smile for everyone!spreading_1
